Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiology Technologist, Hospital Radiology.
In this role, the successful candidate, under the direction of a radiologist, operates radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images and performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Operates Radiology equipment to produce quality images as ordered/according to department protocols Produces quality images for interpretation by the Radiologist
- Prepares patient for exam using proper positioning/immobilization and giving proper instructions throughout
- Practices effective radiation protection in utilizing appropriate shielding devices when possible Monitors exposure and follows department policy regarding pregnant patients
- Proper and timely utilization of the PACs system allowing for Radiologist interpretation Verifies all images are transferred to PACs in a timely matter
- Accurate utilization of the Radiology Information Systems Verifies proper exam was completed amount of contrast if used is correct and proper code is attached Arrives and completes procedures in a timely fashion
- Assists in the care and maintenance of the facilities equipment and supplies while abiding by WUH infection control policy and procedure Maintains proper environment of care Follows WUH infection control policy and procedure Initiates Standard Precautions when required
- Instructs and supervises Radiography students in clinical practicum Works with Radiography students in completing exams Performs QA image review with students
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a High School Diploma or GED required. Technical Diploma Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services required. Current New York State Radiologic technician license OR New Graduate with temporary Permit. Must become registered before expiration of temporary permit required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT required within 6 month of hire. Strong communication both written and oral problem solving and customer service skills required. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required. Thorough knowledge of Radiography equipment required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1- 2 years of Radiologic Technology experience preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $85,325.36 – $95,925.36 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Step 1
Apply Online
The NYU Langone hiring process begins with you applying through our online portal. Be sure to update and upload your resume. Shortly after you submit your application, you will receive an email confirmation. Ten days after applying you will receive a talent assessment to be completed.
Step 2
Schedule Interviews
If selected to continue the interview process, HR will reach out via phone or email first. Then, depending on your position, they will schedule an interview with unit managers or team members. You are encouraged to dress professionally for all interviews.
Step 3
Receive Offer
If you successfully complete the interview process and are identified as a finalist for the position, we will require that you complete a professional reference process. After evaluating the completed references, a decision will be made on who will receive a preliminary offer. If you receive a preliminary offer, HR will start the onboarding process with an agreed-upon tentative start date.
Step 4
Training & Orientation
You will be contacted by an onboarding specialist who will work with you on your pre-boarding requirements. Once fully cleared, we will ask you to complete compliance orientation regulatory training. On your first day, you will attend an online required orientation to acclimate to the health system and report to your new department based on instructions provided by your hiring manager.
