Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Ultrasound Technician.

In this role, the successful candidate performs medically prescribed ultrasound procedures. Monitors and reviews the work of the staff, assist in the supervision of the technical and support staff, and facilitates patient flow.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Directs and monitors student clinical training.

  • Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure.

  • Independently implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

  • Effectively assesses patient’s information and status, and follows appropriate procedure(s) accordingly.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology.

  • Provides direction to the technical staff, facilitates patient flow through the department, and provides support to management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certificate from an approved ultrasound technology education program

  • Registered as American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

  • Five years ultrasound experience.
