Women & Children's Services at NYU Langone

Women’s & Children’s Services

Women’s & Children’s Services offers an environment of both “high tech” and “soft touch” providing our patients and families with the most expert nursing care available. It is our goal to provide developmentally appropriate, family-centered care in a child-friendly environment.

As a Magnet and Baby-Friendly designated hospital, we make every effort to stay current in the evidence-based care every woman deserves to receive. We offer complete perinatal care through NYU Langone Medical Center, including access to an advanced fetal surveillance and documentation system that enables close monitoring of all our patients during their hospital stay.

Our nurses provide care for both high and low-risk mothers, with an average yearly delivery rate of approximately 5,100 babies. Our family-centered philosophy encourages keeping mothers and babies together in the same room. In addition to medical and nursing care, we provide patient and family education and psychosocial support for the transition to parenthood.

Women’s & Children’s Services also provides pediatric care in our Level III NICU, PICU and General Pediatric unit serving children from birth to 18 years of age. Specialized care is offered through the Hassenfeld Children’s Centerfor Cancer and Blood Disorders, where CPHON-certified nurses provide infusion services such as chemotherapy, biological agents and supportive therapies.
