Working in NYC

Working in NYC

NYU Langone Medical Center is located in Murray Hill, on the east side of Manhattan overlooking the East River.

One of the best things about living and working in New York City is that you’re never too far from anywhere. You can actually walk Manhattan Island from end to end and side to side. If you’re new to the city, it might take some time to get used to the subway or bus routes. But you’ll find that NYC’s mass transportation systems are extremely efficient in getting you where you need to go.

The places you’ll want to experience will be many, especially if you have never been to NYC. Concerts, theaters, and museums can keep you busy for months. Each season also brings the excitement of New York’s famous professional sports teams – the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Rangers, Knicks and Nets & Islanders. In addition to being a spectator, you’ll find great opportunities for sports and outdoor activity in Central Park, as well as in the City’s lesser known parks, nature preserves, and greenways.

For foodies, the NYC restaurant scene is truly mind-boggling. Whether you want a hot dog from a street vendor or a decadent meal from a famous New York landmark or celebrated chef, you can find it here. Every ethnicity is represented in unique neighborhoods throughout the city. There is an amazing richness of culture and cuisine to explore and enjoy.

Some say New York City is the most exciting and vibrant city in the world. We’d have to agree. Come experience everything we have to offer. You’ll love it here.
