We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Staff Auditor.
In this role, the successful candidate, under the direct supervision of the Manager of Internal Audit, with some latitude for the use of independent judgment and initiative, the Internal Auditor (Internal Audit Analyst) will conduct financial, compliance and operational audits. Major Activities include: assisting in the development ofaudit work programs; reviewing programs; conducting field work; and assisting in the development offindings and root causes
- Special Projects/assist in the preparation, analysis and reporting of results of findings regardingspecial audit projects including Compliance Investigations.
- Reporting/assist in the preparation of a report relative to the results of the audit.
- Development of Findings, including Root Causes based upon significant areas identified during fieldwork phase.
- Field Work/conduct the fieldwork; analyze operations and determine effectiveness of managementcontrols.
- Work Program/assist in the preparation of the audit work program for review of activities selected inthe plan.
- Audit Planning/obtain information about the nature of activities to help plan the initial part of auditengagement.
To qualify you must have possess the sensitivity to, and understanding of, the values and goals of all the various people that make up an organization. High level of written and oral communications skills. Knowledge of and ability to identify sound business practices. BS or BA degree required. Master’s Degree, CIA and/or CPA preferred. Working knowledge of audit standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Working knowledge of electronic audit Workpaper tools and techniques (i.e., TeamMate)
Two or three years of audit experience with an accounting firm or relevant financial or operationsexperience in a hospital, managed care company or similar organization. Knowledge of the health care environment and a high degree of skill and experience with theanalytical techniques and tools needed to solve problems. Knowledge of information systems utilized in the health care industry, including implementation and application of some of these systems
