Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating comprehensive administrative review of recruitment and other contractual agreements between NYU Langone and faculty candidates/current faculty. You will be expected to complete status reports and deliverables by partnering with the Office of Science and Research (OSR), Education, Faculty, and Academic Affairs (EFAA), Academic Departments, and corporate partners. Essential to your success, will be your attention to detail and ability to manage project dependencies and stakeholder relationships as it relates to the faculty recruitment and academic contracts, as well as ensure timely and effective communication with the stakeholders. You will work under general direction of departmental leadership.

- Drafts and facilitates administrative reviews for confidential faculty recruitment and academic contracts submitted to SPBD
- Reviews and analyzes key faculty contract terms, documents, and forms to determine adequacy and acceptability of information by adhering to all current contract standards and procedures, including all documentation requirements
- Serves as a key liaison for faculty recruitment and academic contracts, responsible for coordinating and communicating between SPBD, the Office of Science and Research (OSR), Education, Faculty, and Academic Affairs (EFAA), Academic Departments, and corporate partners to develop a professional level of cooperation across the organization
- Participates in weekly Faculty Recruitment/On-boarding Pipeline meetings with OSR, Finance, and Real Estate and Development teams to track and coordinate recruits and key academic contracts in the pipeline
- Updates and maintains academic contracts records, including but not limited to OSR Pipeline, Monthly Vice Dean Report
- Assists in maintaining and enhancing the recruitment/academic contract system applications and reference files; provides ongoing and ad hoc education to the community, as needed
- Adheres to service and quality standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties
- Maintains the SPBD departmental culture by acting as a role model for team members through positive attitude, willingness to work at all levels, and commitment to the team
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a a minimum of 5+ years of relevant progressive experience in an academic medical center, higher education or relevant consulting environment
Outstanding organizational, project management, critical thinking, customer service, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to translate to the big picture and back
Action-oriented, with experience managing aggressive deadlines and advance multiple contracts concurrently and deliver consistently high-quality outputs on time
Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
A graduate degree, and experience handling contractual documents relative to the employment of faculty, or the equivalent years of experience, is preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
