Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Evaluation Coordinator – Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate Under the supervision of the Director of Community Benefit evaluation, the Evaluation Coordinator will coordinate efforts to guide Department of Community Based Programs staff and other stakeholders to use evaluation and data as a method for learning and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities

- Support the development and documentation of logic models and other program planning tools
- Assist with the identification, dissemination, and translation of best practices and research findings to program staff
- Assist with the selection of appropriate metrics and benchmarks to facilitate quality improvement efforts and program development
- Help identify and implement data collection and management strategies to support internal evaluation and performance improvement
- Assist with creating evaluation plans that measure progress and successes against key metrics for internal program improvement and external reporting purposes (at the program, department, and organizational level)
- Support data collection processes, including the development of data collection tools (content development and form creation)
- In collaboration with data and evaluation team members, help ensure that data is being collected accurately, analyzed appropriately, and adapted as needed to successfully accomplish program objectives
- Help compile, synthesize and interpret primary and secondary data (program data, community needs data, etc.)
- Support discussions with program staff to reflect on and apply evaluation results, including successes and opportunities for growth and improvement
- Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and other forms of communication
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree required;
- 2+ years experience in CQI / data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfort with data and applying findings to ongoing program development;
- High level ability in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and ability to learn and adapt to new software;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Experience with evaluation methodology, such as development of logic models and evaluation plans;
- Experience with continuous quality improvement methodologies, such as PDSAs, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) model for improvement, etc. ;
- Familiarity with population, health, and social determinants of health secondary data sources, such as Census.gov, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene EpiQuery, etc. ;
- Ability to tailor data-related concepts for diverse stakeholders;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects;
- Experience with or interest in non-profit organizations;
- Interest in working with programs that serve vulnerable populations, and a desire to facilitate improved client outcomes through data collection and use; and
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Optional but preferred:
- Experience with electronic survey tools, such as Qualtrics and REDCap;
- Experience with structured continuous quality improvement processes; and
- Experience with data visualization

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $54,483.52 – $90,806.04 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
