Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator.
The Research Coordinator will work at NYU Grossman School of Medicine on two main research projects. The first study is entitled, INtegrating CuLtUral aspects into Diabetes Education (INCLUDE). The second study is titled, ” A Mobile Health Intervention to Reduce Diabetes Disparities in Chinese Americans. Both studies are directed by Dr. Lu Hu, as Principal Investigator (PI). The research coordinator will assist the PI in ensuring the accurate execution of the study protocol in accordance with IRB and sponsor regulations. The research coordinator will obtain informed consent and administer aspects of the study protocol to physician volunteers. She/he/they will transfer data from study subjects, standardized patients, and other forms to a format suitable for analysis by the data scientist. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for setting up, distributing, and recording payment of all participant incentives. She/he/they will interface directly with participants to provide education about the study and obtain informed consent, and provide updates about the studys progress and any issues that arise. She/he/they will also be responsible for study-related administrative duties, including procuring supplies, scheduling meetings, and maintaining equipment. She/he/they will also conduct qualitative analysis of both audio and video recordings.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, allied health or equivalent in a related discipline and 0-1 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under the direction of supervision. Ability to operate research related equipment. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of basic medical terminology is preferred. Prior experience working with Research Protocols. Experience working in an academic medical center environment. Experience in research coordination and project management. Experience working on a health equity, medical education, and/or health services research. Experience in conducting literature searches. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 – $60,840.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
