Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Research Coordinator.
Background:
The NYU Grossman School of Medicine Department of Population Health (DPH) is a dynamic environment of excellence, innovation and growth with faculty across a wide range of disciplines including behavioral and social sciences, epidemiology, health services research, implementation science, evaluation, biostatistics, and medical ethics with a particular focus on health equity. This position will be based in the Division of Comparative Effectiveness and Decision Science within the Section of Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drug Use and responsible for coordinating a broad range of activities for an NIH/National Cancer Institute funded study. The overall goal of this project is to test the effectiveness across Social Determinants of TeleHealth of a newly developed and comprehensive, multilevel telehealth program for the cancer care of Veterans. The project will constitute of several pilot studies which will guide the implementation of a pragmatic trial conducted across several cancer clinics.
Position Summary:
The Senior Research Coordinator will work with study PIs, Co-Investigators, and research staff to ensure that projects run smoothly in accordance with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA and required obligations to internal and external project stakeholders. The Senior Research Coordinator will be primarily focused on the management and coordination of recruitment, data collection, and the preparation and submission of IRB documents for research studies. They are also responsible for the oversight of all study-related items, including gathering and maintenance of data, and the development of training programs for studies. The Senior Research Coordinator will work closely with the Center Director and study staff to provide updates about study progress and related issues.

To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related discipline. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials studies. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Ability to work and make decisions independently. Time management skills and ability to multi task. Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure.

Bachelors degree or equivalent in scientific discipline (e.g., Public Health, Health Communications, Health Science, Biology); Masters applicants welcome
2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably coordinating clinical/research projects

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $59,950.00 – $82,674.55 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
