Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Respiratory Therapist, Nights, Hospital.
In this role, the successful candidate administers respiratory modalities to patients of all age groups in accordance with prescribed medical standards and only upon a written verbal or telephone order. Performs technical duties in conjunction with the operation and maintenance of respiratory care equipment. Provides supervisory oversight and reviews for the blood gas laboratory in absence of a supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have an Associate’s Degree from an American Medical Association Approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Current New York State Respiratory Therapy RT License. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR or Basic Life Support BLS. Excellent communication both oral and written interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills Knowledge of ventilator management oxygen therapy blood gas analysis blood gas laboratory regulations endotracheal intubation aerosolized medication administration non invasive ventilation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current registration from National Board for Respiratory Care NBRC as Certified Respiratory Therapist CRT AND Registry RRT. 3-5 years Current Respiratory Care clinical experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $106,932.80 – $116,854.40 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
