Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.
This role will be responsible for providing an advanced range of project management functions overseeing and coordinating the implementation of partnership projects between local LGBTQ+ communities and NYU Langone Health, as described in the NYU Langone Health Community Health Needs and Assets Assessment (CHNAA) and the Community Service Plan (CSP). In line with the needs identified by the LGBTQ+ CHNAA report and the broader mission of NYU Langone Health, the Project Manager of LGBTQ+ Community Health Partnerships will act as a liaison between multiple initiatives within NYU Langone Health to share best practices and approaches regarding LGBTQ+ community health, will develop new informational and outreach materials regarding LGBTQ+ health and healthcare careers for LGBTQ+ community members, and will build on the LGBTQ+ Community Health Needs and Assets report through dissemination projects and creation of in-depth additional reports exploring topics from the report.
LGBTQ+ community engagement and community health projects have been a consistent strength of NYU Langone Health, in keeping with broader goals around community engagement and population health. In line with the goals of the Community Service Plan and the CHNAA, NYU Langone Health desires to increase its institutional capacity for LGBTQ+ community engagement and to strengthen interprofessional collaborations to support innovative initiatives in LGBTQ+ health equity. This role will provide project management and coordination to ensure the success of these multi-stakeholder initiatives and to create a robust pipeline for nursing and allied health professionals interested in LGBTQ+ health equity work. The role will also oversee dissemination of reports and key findings within professional and community venues.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate dissemination efforts for the LGBTQ+ Community Health Needs and Assets report. This includes maintaining a list of potential conferences and community events, coordinating submission of abstracts and preparation of presentation materials, and, where possible, coordinating co-presentation with community partners.
2. Partner with community organizations to develop additional informational and outreach materials based around the core report. These materials could include in-depth analyses of specific topics or concise summaries with actionable steps tailored for health professionals and/or community members.
3. Coordinate with the Brooklyn Data Station and community partners to support the use of existing programmatic data from community partners to elucidate needs and assets and support program evaluation. Specific responsibilities include managing timelines, agreements, and coordination between stakeholders.
4. Manage the pilot rollout of an LGBTQ+ nursing and allied health career pipeline program, including liaising with existing pipeline and mentorship programs within NYU Langone Health, developing new educational and outreach materials specific to the LGBTQ+ community, and performing community outreach through talks and events regarding careers at NYU Langone Health.
5. Liaise with Community Health Worker programs at NYU Langone Health, including the CHW Research and Resource Center, to make culturally competent linkages to healthcare and navigation services if requested by community partners.
6. Manage and oversee day-to-day logistics for the implementation of projects between local LGBTQ+ communities and NYU Langone Health, as described in the NYU Langone Health Community Health Needs and Assets Assessment (CHNAA) and the Community Service Plan (CSP) such as: preparing workplans, facilitating communication between stakeholders, drafting abstracts, presentations, and reports, and planning events and programming as directed.
7. Develop, prepare, and revise materials and reports related to the NYU Langone Health Community Health Needs and Assets Assessment (CHNAA).
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in public health, business administration, health care administration, or related field. Two years of experience in healthcare or community services environment, or related area with demonstrated experience managing the design and rollout of a community service, health education, or similar program involving multiple internal and external stakeholders. Extensive knowledge of the needs and assets of local LGBTQ+ communities. Foundational knowledge of LGBTQ+ health services and health disparities affecting LGBTQ+ communities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with varying sets of stakeholders and deadlines. Effective oral and written communication skills with a variety of stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Must possess efficient time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in public health or related field. Foundational knowledge of program evaluation. Foundational knowledge of approaches to quantitative and qualitative analysis. Bilingual in Spanish.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 – $95,660.84 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Schedule Interviews

Receive Offer
If you successfully complete the interview process and are identified as a finalist for the position, we will require that you complete a professional reference process. After evaluating the completed references, a decision will be made on who will receive a preliminary offer. If you receive a preliminary offer, HR will start the onboarding process with an agreed-upon tentative start date.
Step 4
Training & Orientation
You will be contacted by an onboarding specialist who will work with you on your pre-boarding requirements. Once fully cleared, we will ask you to complete compliance orientation regulatory training. On your first day, you will attend an online required orientation to acclimate to the health system and report to your new department based on instructions provided by your hiring manager.
