NYU Grossman School of Medicine, in affiliation with NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, is seeking a full-time Director of Neuroradiology / Body Imager to join the Department of Radiology at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. Located in the heart of North Brooklyn, Woodhull is a 310-bed Level II Trauma Center and an integral part of the NYC Health + Hospitals system, proudly serving the diverse communities of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Greenpoint.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a board-certified radiologist with fellowship training in Neuroradiology, demonstrated leadership experience, and a strong commitment to advancing excellence in both clinical and academic radiology practice. The selected candidate will provide oversight of neuroradiology services while contributing to body imaging and general diagnostic radiology coverage within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Position Highlights

  • Schedule, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Lead the Neuroradiology Division in delivering advanced diagnostic imaging services with expertise in neurovascular, brain, head and neck, and spine imaging
  • Interpret Head and Neck MRI/MRA and CT/CTA studies
  • Provide routine Body CT interpretation and general diagnostic plain film coverage
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality assurance initiatives
  • Supervise, mentor, and educate residents and fellows within the Radiology training program
  • Engage in academic initiatives, including teaching, clinical research, and interdisciplinary collaboration with NYU Grossman School of Medicine
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Support departmental strategic planning, operational growth, and quality improvement initiatives

Scope of Practice

This position includes Neuroradiology and Body Imaging responsibilities with the following practice structure:

  • Head and Neck MRI/MRA
  • CT/CTA interpretation
  • Routine Body CT
  • General diagnostic radiography (plain films)

This role does not include:

  • Mammography
  • Interventional Radiology
  • Ultrasound
  • Nuclear Medicine

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training in Neuroradiology required
  • Strong experience in Head and Neck imaging and Body CT interpretation
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience within a clinical and academic environment preferred
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care, medical education, and community-focused healthcare delivery
  • Eligible for New York State medical licensure
  • Academic and/or research experience preferred, with the ability to foster a collaborative and collegial team environment

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Annual Base Salary: $375,000 – $475,000
  • 403(b) and 457(b) retirement plans with a 10% employer contribution (no employee match required)
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement of $3,000 – $3,500, inclusive of one week of paid CME leave
  • Projected annual revenue-sharing incentives of up to $35,000, contingent upon meeting productivity and compliance metrics
  • Generous Paid Time Off, including:

Step 1

Step 2

Schedule Interviews

If selected to continue the interview process, HR will reach out via phone or email first. Then, depending on your position, they will schedule an interview with unit managers or team members. You are encouraged to dress professionally for all interviews.

Step 3

Receive Offer

If you successfully complete the interview process and are identified as a finalist for the position, we will require that you complete a professional reference process. After evaluating the completed references, a decision will be made on who will receive a preliminary offer. If you receive a preliminary offer, HR will start the onboarding process with an agreed-upon tentative start date.

Step 4

Training & Orientation

You will be contacted by an onboarding specialist who will work with you on your pre-boarding requirements. Once fully cleared, we will ask you to complete compliance orientation regulatory training. On your first day, you will attend an online required orientation to acclimate to the health system and report to your new department based on instructions provided by your hiring manager.
