Pharmacy Careers
The NYU Langone Pharmacy is a highly automated, clinically driven, and decentralized operation that leverages technology for optimal patient safety and quality. We house one of the largest pharmacy robots in the United States and utilize bedside barcode scanning, RFID technology, and a state-of-the-art EMR system in Epic.
Our team includes approximately 250 pharmacists, interns, PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, pharmacy technicians, and Clinical Pharmacotherapists who specialize by discipline, disease state, or patient population. Rehabilitation Services Careers
Rusk Rehabilitation, NYU Langone’s award-winning rehabilitation program, is a complex, fast-paced area that provides leadership in patient care research, and teaching. We are dedicated to helping others overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges, and are guided by the principles of teamwork, integrity, innovation, communication, and kindness.
We partner with interdisciplinary care teams to provide services throughout NYU Langone including 110 acute rehabilitation beds, 13 ambulatory sites, our home care programs, and robust acute care services at all 3 of our hospitals, which includes therapy services from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) through the continuum of life. Our annual caseload averages 240,000 outpatient visits and 2,100 adult and pediatric inpatients combined.
Rusk Rehabilitation services are consistently ranked in the top ten in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and are accredited as part of the Joint Commission comprehensive stroke programs at NYU Langone and NYU Langone Hospital —
Brooklyn. We have also received CARF accreditation in the areas of pediatrics, brain injury, stroke, and Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP).

We provide a full complement of evaluation and treatment programs to adults in need of skills development, community engagement, and return to work services. Respiratory Therapy Careers
Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) at NYU Langone provide patient-centered, evidence-based respiratory care in ICU, subacute, and general inpatient areas. We support respiratory care in all areas of NYU Langone and also participate in patient transport, code blue, and medical response teams.
The Respiratory Care Department is equipped with the latest in state-of-the-art mechanical ventilation and related equipment for patients of all ages, including conventional, high frequency oscillatory, and jet ventilators.
Our team is recognized for its leadership in helping to develop and implement a multidisciplinary sedation reduction and weaning assessment protocol directed at reducing ventilator days and ventilator-associated pneumonia.

Psychology Careers
Established in 1955, the psychology practice in NYU Langone’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine has the distinction of being the first rehabilitation psychology program in the United States. We are the largest program of our kind and have the second oldest, continuously operating, American Psychological Association-accredited clinical psychology internship.
Today, our neuropsychological and rehabilitation psychology services are provided within an integrated healthcare model, supporting the areas of inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation, inpatient adult neurorehabilitation, inpatient cardiopulmonary and medically complex rehabilitation, and adult outpatient rehabilitation. Career paths within the department include staff psychologist, senior psychologist, supervisor, and program manager.
The impact of our work is incredibly rewarding as we treat people with complicated, life-altering conditions. The most important variable is reintegrating the individual to their previous life and roles to whatever extent possible and facilitating their participation in their previous activities. Psychologists working on this team are dedicated to the provision of excellent patient care, improvement of community mental health, and integration of advanced clinical research within their practice.
Our research has led to exciting discoveries on how people with brain injuries solve problems and regulate their emotions. In addition to trauma, our research work is also involved in areas of resilience, the aging brain, efficacy of treatment, cardiac rehabilitation, and neurorehabilitation. As such, we are able to offer one-of-a-kind training opportunities for students, residents, doctoral candidates, and post-doctoral residents and fellows.
The department also represents an accomplished group of researchers, published authors, and officers in professional societies such as American Board of Professional Psychology (in both Rehabilitation Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology), the American Psychological Association, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, and many others.

Social Work Careers
Social work is an integral part of NYU Langone’s care management model. Master’s prepared social workers are paired with nurse care managers to guide and support patients and their families. From preadmission to a stay in the hospital to transition to home or another care provider, the social worker and care manager team contributes to safe and efficient quality care.
Social workers at NYU Langone are provided with clinical supervision and the work experience that is required to obtain clinical licensure and to maintain professional standards. Our staffing is structured to provide support to our social workers allowing them more time for direct patient and family contact. Along the way, our social workers encounter meaningful career experiences and opportunities for ongoing education, professional development and more.

Physician Assistants Careers
