Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Development Coordinator.

In this role, the successful candidate The Sr. Development Coordinator is an integral member of the Giving and Fundraising Administration teams and is responsible for conducting a full range of development activities that help to strengthen the Giving teams efforts by providing critical and complex fundraising support, including assistance with: moves management; donor and prospect research; planning and executing cultivation and stewardship events and tours; tracking and documenting key donor and prospect relationships; scheduling and coordinating gift officers interactions and contacts; gift processing; and gift agreement administration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with gift officers on moves management; ensure updates to meeting materials, the Blackbaud CRM donor database TRAX, and other systems to capture all the activities of the team. 
  • Efficiently and effectively conduct all follow-ups from meetings, liaising with individuals and teams, scheduling internal and external meetings, requesting deliverables, prospect research information, event briefings, etc. 
  • Collaborate across functions and act as a critical connector between the gift officers and teams throughout the office, in particular the Office of the Executive Vice President, Prospect Research, Development Communications, Stewardship, Fundraising Analytics and Data Services, as well as the other members of the Giving team, ensuring and increasing transparent communication and inclusion. 
  • Serve as a thought partner to teams across the department to help evaluate processes and make recommendations that will contribute to process improvements. 
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in managing the daily operations that support and advance the work of gift officers, including coordinating complex scheduling and calendar management; serving as a primary point of contact for communications and inquiries; drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence; overseeing travel and meeting logistics; managing expense reports, reimbursements, requisitions, and vendor payments; executing mail merges and other administrative processes; and prioritizing workflow while providing broad project and operational support.
  • Assist with cultivation and stewardship event/tour planning and execution, taking on the role of project manager to ensure seamless execution from start to finish, including follow-up efforts after the event. 
  • Collaborate with the Development Communications team on drafting, editing and designing donor proposals, stewardship reports and touchpoints. 
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of gift transmittals and partnering with the Gift Administration team to ensure the timely processing of various gift types.
  • Run reports in TRAX to facilitate fundraising efforts. Prepare regular fundraising progress reports.
  • Partner with gift officers to support donor engagement strategies, gaining hands-on experience through meeting preparation, writing proposals and participation in physician meetings, donor cultivation activities, and ultimately frontline donor conversations. 
  • Serve as the front-line data steward, responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the data in our donor database TRAX, including documenting all development activity related to donor/prospect cultivation, gift solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Partner with the Development Legal team to prepare draft complex gift agreements, complete and track tasks associated with committed gifts/gift agreements. 
  • Work closely with gift officers, members across the Development team, department/division administrators and physicians to assist in the preparation of donor proposals, reports and budgets. 
  • Perform supporting prospect research on donors, prospects and other potential funding sources, utilizing available research tools. Help to prepare donor briefings. 
  • Maintain institutional documents, such as organization budgets, tax documents and other attachments needed for grant applications. 
  • Assist with the production of in-house mailings, letters, updates and invitations to prospects and donors. 
  • Develop proficiency in systems (including online project management tools) and partner with the Development Legal team to complete and track tasks associated with committed gifts/gift agreements. Develop proficiency in other software as needed.
  • Process expense reports, requisitions, and payments to vendors. 
  • Manage and participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree and 4-5+ years related experience required.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 – $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Receive Offer

If you successfully complete the interview process and are identified as a finalist for the position, we will require that you complete a professional reference process. After evaluating the completed references, a decision will be made on who will receive a preliminary offer. If you receive a preliminary offer, HR will start the onboarding process with an agreed-upon tentative start date.

Step 4

Training & Orientation

You will be contacted by an onboarding specialist who will work with you on your pre-boarding requirements. Once fully cleared, we will ask you to complete compliance orientation regulatory training. On your first day, you will attend an online required orientation to acclimate to the health system and report to your new department based on instructions provided by your hiring manager.
