Campus Transformation
Our Campus Transformation is dramatically reshaping the footprint of NYU Langone with a vision for future growth and opportunity. To achieve our vision, we are:
- building new hospitals including the recently opened Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone.
- transforming Tisch Hospital with ongoing expansion and renovation projects.
- expanding our ambulatory care capabilities with a rapidly growing portfolio of satellite sites throughout the five boroughs.
- becoming a leader in sustainability and reducing our contribution to global warming with clean, reliable, and efficient energy generated at our own on-campus Energy Building.
- the new 16 story Science Building, which opened January 2018, contains more than 365,000 square feet of research space and 10 floors dedicated to basic and translational research with laboratories.
When complete, our Campus Transformation will represent the most sweeping revitalization in more than 170 year history and set a new standard for academic medical centers. “We are building a culture of the very highest standards — uncompromising yardsticks that define both our behaviors today and our aspirations for tomorrow,” states Robert I. Grossman, MD, Dean and CEO of NYU Langone.
