Job Responsibilities:
Conducts routine and standardized experiments using advanced research techniques specific to subject matter of the research project
Microinjection of gene-targeted mouse ES cells to produce mouse chimeras for the establishment of novel mouse lines
Conducts embryo transfer surgeries to return injected blastocysts to the reproductive tract of host female mice
Animal husbandry necessary for the performance of other duties listed above, such as routine monitoring of mice and changing of cages with pregnant and lactating mice, hormone injections to superovulate donor female mice, hormone preparations, maintenance of specific equipment used in the Core
Weekend work will be required
All duties listed above to be performed in as independent a manner as possible, with minimal supervision of the Director of the core.

Perform other duties as assigned.
