Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.
Responsible for providing moderate to advanced range of Project/Program coordination functions for Dr Melanie Jays Veterans EquiTy in the Cancer Care Continuum Research VETCARE Center Responsible for supporting promoting and coordinating the implementation development delivering and evaluation of multisite projects across NYU Grossman School of Medicine Veterans Affairs Medical Center etc Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate run and conclude major Project/Programs Supports promotes and coordinates the development of research Project/Programs gathering collecting and analysis data Facilitates the administration process and provide implementation science methodology to the VETCARE project team Works autonomously and with limited oversight
Job Responsibilities:
Provides moderate to advanced coordination for Project/Program activities to a manager or director of department that includes but not limited to: coordination of Project/Programs while working/communicating with internal and external parties to organize and coordinate the various components needed to initiate run and conclude Project/Programs activities Evaluates and makes recommendations based on analyses observation and or feedback Develops Project/Program schedules may oversee Project/Program purchase requisitions and invoice payments Assists in developing departmental plans goals objectives policies and procedures
Lead a portfolio review to explore and address the systems and structural root causes of cancer disparities and develop interventions and/or implementation strategies to mitigate them Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects that enhance cancer care and chronic disease management for Veterans
Facilitate the establishment of core project structures ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices Provide implementation science methodology Develop and implement processes for project tracking reporting and communication nbsp;
Provide administrative assistance to the VETCARE project team including scheduling meetings managing documentation and maintaining project timelines Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with investigators to offer project management expertise ensuring adherence to project timelines budgets and objectives Help coordinate research activities and facilitate communication between project teams and external partners
Engage with project teams to develop and test strategies that support health equity in cancer care chronic disease prevention and remote cancer care delivery Participate in the design and implementation of multicomponent interventions that promote equity in health outcomes across the continuum of care
Researches/gathers and collects data from different parties and presents findings and preliminary analysis as applicable Researches problems issues and concerns and responds to requests for information Develops materials and presentations for training and educational sessions departmental seminars and other activities
Prepares and review documents independently and generates status/progress reports for ongoing and pending Project/Programs Plans arranges outlines and drafts letters memos agendas presentations and reports
Advanced analysis is required to present findings Reviews edits and obtains appropriate approvals Responds to more complex correspondence and refers the more complex issues with recommendation to supervisor
Follows protocols as defined by the grant and Medical Center s policies and procedures
Combines and evaluates information and data to make decisions about relative importance of information and choosing the best solution to solve problems Resolves complex situations based on established policies and procedures and refers non solved issues and questions to the Principal Investigator or manager as needed
Demonstrates knowledge of the organization s Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties
Participates in special Project/Programs and performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a
1 Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related field
2 Three years of experience coordinating Project/Programs or programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience
3 Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World Excel Access Power Point and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications
4 Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills
5 Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
6 Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
7 Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details
Preferred Qualifications:
MPH or Master s Degree in business administration health care administration or related field is preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 – $91,105.56 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
