With over 550,000 square feet of research space, NYU Langone Medical Center has been the incubator for groundbreaking discoveries, some of which have led to Nobel Prizes, and all of which have helped advance the diagnosis and treatment of disease. We are constructing new research and clinical facilities to more vigorously pursue new breakthroughs in an environment designed to foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that inspires advances in knowledge, therapies and cures.
Our research focus is on collaborative and programmatically driven translational science. We have the infrastructure to advance this work at NYU Langone Medical Center, as well as across our partner institutions, New York University and the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation. Together, we are working toward a shared vision to advance research, train the next generation of doctors and researchers, and to provide the best medical care for our patients by focusing on the root causes of disease.
Researchers and scientists here are eager to collaborate and work toward the mission and strategy of our organization. We need to bring the widest possible range of perspectives and expertise to bear on unraveling the mysteries that underlie illness and finding new answers to improve lives. Established and emerging interdisciplinary teams are working on today’s most prevalent disease states, including cancer and autism, as well as research into population health.
We invite you to join us in creating breakthroughs and making new discoveries throughout these robust and growing research areas:
The Academic Departments of the NYU School of Medicine are world-renowned as leaders in physician education, scientific research, and patient care.
Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)
CTSI is a partnership between NYU Langone Medical Center and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation that has been designed to transform research studies and enhance the quality and productivity of our research efforts.
Core and Shared Resources
We have committed $15 million to core facilities to support research across the enterprise and ensure that our investigators can access – and pioneer – new enabling research technologies.
Our institution’s success is determined in large part by the groundbreaking science taking place in the laboratories of our investigators and researchers.
Research Administration supports and facilitates research at the NYU School of Medicine and NYU Langone Medical Center, with the goals of advancing science, enhancing education, attracting collaborations, and creating new intellectual hubs.
Office of Research Education (ORE)
ORE was created to champion education strategies that lead to improved research practices and collaboration, as well as increased employee job satisfaction and opportunities for growth. We also serve as clearinghouse for the collection and dissemination of information relevant to our research enterprise.
