Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate coordinates clinical, surgical, outreach, and marketing activities for the Center for Amputation Reconstruction. These complex patients require significant care coordination. Responsible for providing moderate to advanced range of Project/Program coordination functions. Responsible for supporting, promoting and coordinating the implementation, development, delivering and evaluation of a Project/Program. Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude major Project/Programs. Supports, promotes and coordinates the development of Center for Amputation and Reconstruction (CAR) by gathering, collecting and analyzing data. Facilitates the administration process of CARs activities (e.g., tracking and enforcing ongoing research studies, maintaining records, managing marketing and outreach for CARs growth, and tracking and developing referral relationships). Direct clinical coordination needs and monitor clinical activities at CAR. Obtains insurance authorization for surgeries, booking surgery and office clinical visits for CAR patients. Works autonomously and with limited oversight.
Job Responsibilities:
Patient Care and Coordination:
- Clinical Oversight: Coordinate and oversee the clinical care provided to patients with limb loss, including surgical interventions, prosthetic fittings, rehabilitation services, and psychosocial support. Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices, clinical guidelines, and quality standards in the delivery of care.
- Research Study / Data Collection: Administer research protocols including standardized assessments (i.e. AMULA) and score results for research projects related to the specialty centers.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration and communication among healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, prosthetists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and case managers. Coordinate and lead interdisciplinary team mee3ngs to discuss pa3ent care plans, progress, and outcomes.
Program Coordination and Development:
Strategic Planning: Coordinate projects to develop and implement strategic plans for the Center for Amputation Reconstruction to ensure the provision of comprehensive and patient-centered care. Assist CAR leadership to establish programs goals, objectives, and performance metrics to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement: Implement and monitor quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of the specialty clinics. Analyze data and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies as needed.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage the program budget, ensuring the effective utilization of resources and compliance with financial policies.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Community Outreach and Education: Develop and implement community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about limb loss, prevention strategies, and available resources and services. Collaborate with community organizations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to enhance support and resources for individuals with limb loss.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, including hospital leadership, referring physicians and prosthetists, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Fundraising:
- Strategy: Develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns to meet fundraising goals. Identify and pursue donations from individuals and foundations. Monitor data for donations to inform fundraising strategy.
- Events: Play supporting role in planning and executing fundraising events and community outreach programs.
Brand Strategy:
- Brand Positioning: Develop and implement a compelling brand positioning strategy for the program to differentiate it and resonate with target patient population. Conduct market research to identify opportunities and insights to inform the brand strategy.
- Marketing: Collaborate with the hospital’s marketing team and external agencies to develop marketing materials, including print, digital, social media, and video content.
- Digital Marketing and Online Presence: Manage the clinic’s digital marketing strategies. Collaborate with marketing department to build website content, search engine optimization (SEO) and social media marketing. Collaborate with marketing department to monitor and analyze website traffic, social media engagement, and online reviews to optimize the clinic’s online presence.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project/Program management experience preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 – $92,020.36 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
