Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Speech Language Pathologist, Per Diem / Speech Therapy Dept.
In this role, the successful candidate assesses provides and documents speech language dysphagia and related services to both inpatient and outpatient populations across the age spectrum Evaluates re evaluates plans and implements individual treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of each individual patient
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Master’s Degree Speech Language Pathology. Current and valid New York State License in Speech Language Pathology American Speech Language Hearing Association ASHA certification in Speech Language Pathology, required. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, required. 1 – 2 years of Speech Language Pathology in a medically related environment with experience in communication cognition assistive and augmentative communication disorders and dysphagia, required. Adult medical ICU experience, required .1 – 2 years of experience with Modified Barium Swallow Test MBS or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing with Sensory Testing FEEST and ventilator dependent patients, required, Strong communication both oral and written counseling customer service problem solving planning organization and multitasking skills Required Ability to mentor and train graduate students in speech language pathology Required Specific clinical skills related to evaluating testing therapy and counseling for those with speech/language swallowing and related disorders Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
NICU/Pediatric experience, preferred. Weekend and holiday availability

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $60.00 – $60.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
