Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Assistant.
Support daily research activities, including scheduling meetings, managing data collection, and providing creative input for presentations. They will also handle communication with study participants, assist in biospecimen processing, maintain project documentation, and collaborate with team members to achieve project milestones.
Job Responsibilities:
The Project Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting daily activities contributing to the smooth execution of research projects. Key responsibilities include:
· Administrative Support:
o Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and organize project files.
o Assist in developing strategic plans for community recruitment and outreach.
· Data Collection and Follow-Up:
o Gather and organize data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, devices and online research.
o Conduct follow-up calls with individuals who have expressed interest in the research study to maintain engagement and address queries.
· Creative Input:
o Provide artistic and creative input for project presentations, reports, and other materials to enhance visual appeal and engagement.
· Communication:
o Draft emails, reports, and other project-related communications.
o Handle phone inquiries from study participants, providing assistance and information as needed.
· Biospecimen Processing:
o Assist in processing biospecimens received from participants, ensuring accurate tracking and entry into databases.
· Documentation:
o Maintain thorough records of project activities, including meeting notes and progress updates.
· Collaboration:
o Work closely with team members and the data manager to achieve project milestones.
o Contribute ideas during team brainstorming sessions to support project innovation.
· Additional Research Activities:
o Participate in other study-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals of the project.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently within a team environment.. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with REDCap or similar data acquisition platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a proactive attitude. Familiarity with graphics design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Basic understanding of research methodologies.
Other Working Conditions:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force. Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sitting most of the time.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,100.00-$54,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
