Brief Description of Duties:
The Bellevue WTC Environmental Health Center (WTC EHC) is one of the Centers of Excellence in the WTC Health Program funded by the Centers for Disease Control under the auspices of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The WTC EHC offers comprehensive, integrative healthcare of 9/11-related illnesses for community members impacted by WTC disaster (WTC Survivors). Integral to our mission of patient-centered care is an enduring support community including medical and mental health providers, advocacy for our 9/11 survivors, and cutting edge research efforts. The incumbent must possess excellent organizational and communication skills. The clinician will be responsible for the following duties:
Required Qualifications:
A license to practice as a Physician in New York State. Graduation from an AAMC-, COCA-, or ECFMG-accredited medical school and completion of an AGME-accredited residency, preferably in internal, primary care, family, preventive or occupational medicine.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in the treatment of general medical illnesses including lower respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease in an ambulatory setting beyond residency. Interest or experience in Environmental Medicine. Specialty training in Pulmonary Medicine with an interest in ambulatory practice would be considered an advantage.
