Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Development Manager – Direct Response Programs.
In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with the Director, Direct Response Programs to manage the creation and production of fundraising campaigns for NYU Langone Healths Direct Response Programs. This includes direct response fundraising to a variety of audiences including grateful patients, base donors, and NYU School of Medicine Alumni.
This individual will serve as the lead project manager for all direct response campaigns, partnering across the Development department and with external vendors as needed. The individual will actively participate in campaign planning sessions, and will be responsible for the execution of the final strategies in the form of multichannel, direct mail or digital fundraising efforts.
The ideal applicant is organized, diligent and forward-thinking ensuring that all details are addressed and everything runs as smoothly as possible. A successful candidate will possess a keen understanding and comfort level with both the creative and data requirements needed for a successful direct response program.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree required, with5-7+ years of experience in a university/medical center/healthcare/non-profit or comparable corporate setting.
High degree of computer literacy required, specifically knowledge of MS Office package, including Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel and Advance.Excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
Superb communicator in both writing and speech, with major phone and in-person communications skills.
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
Possesses: intellectual curiosity, kindness, integrity, and a sense of humor, even and especially in times of stress.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team .
Adaptability and openness to criticism.
Sense of urgency in completing projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Driven self-starter, with an entrepreneurial mindset
Demonstrated understanding of grateful patient or healthcare fundraising program
In-depth understanding of direct response campaign creative development process
Understanding of data business requirements and best practices needed for direct response campaign execution
Prior experience with direct response production and vendor management
Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Blackbaud CRM, a plus
1 year of management experience preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 – $98,711.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
